シンガポールで住むことが、一年になった！

もう、一年に渡った。

感想は？

田舎ペナンより良いところ：

1． 交通が便利です。

2． 美味しい和食がいっぱいです。

3． 日本の食品、服、本や雑貨などが簡単に手に入れます。

4． 生活費「1ドルと1リンギットの比べ方」が安いです。

悪いところ：

1． めちゃ暑いです。「ペナンも暑いですが、シンガポールの方が湿気高いと思います」

2． 環境意識が余りありません。「ペナンのデパートやスパーがビニール袋が提供しません。もちろん、ポリスチレンも禁物です。」

3． 文化や自然の遊び所が余りありません。「週末の活動はショッピングしかありません、ちょっと空虚じゃない？」

4． 人がいっぱいです。「大都会ですから、仕方ないです。」

どれでも、良いところや悪いところもあります。今の私はまだ帰国するつもりがありません、多分これから5年後もシンガポールにいると思います。もちろん、未来が見るわけがありませんので、やっぱり一番重要なのは‘今’を大事にすることです。

私はシンガポールでいつも行き場所は：

1． Liang Court 「たもやうどん、紀伊国屋、明治屋など、日本の食品や物がたくさん揃っているショッピングモールです。」

2． JEMとWest Gate「住んでいる所と近いですから。West Gateで伊勢丹があります。地下でシャトレーぜとジョアンがあります。」

3． 100 am辻利茶屋

4． Bugis Junction 「笑すみれ焼き鳥がめっちゃ美味しいです。」

5． Holland Village 「三宝亭ラーメン」

6． Orchard Road 「シンガポールで一番有名な商店街です。」

7． Mr. Bean Soya Milk 「たくさん所がありますが、私はいつも常連するのはClementi Mallの Mr. Beanです。私は豆乳が大好きです。」

It has already been a year since I started to live in Singapore.

So what are my feelings towards this red little dot?

The side that is better compare to Penang:

1.       Transportation services

2.       Have a lot of delicious Japanese Restaurant

3.       Easier to obtain Japanese product

4.       By comparing 1 dollar to 1 ringgit, the life here is actually cheaper

The bad side:

1.       Extremely hot weather. [Although Penang also has the same type of climate, nonetheless I felt that Singapore is more humid.]

2.       Not environmental friendly. [The department store and supermarket in Penang no longer provide plastic bags. Of course, no polystyrene either.]

3.       Lack of cultural and natural activities/places. [It seems like the usual weekends activity will always be shopping.]

4.       Always crowded. [What to do? Singapore is a big city.]

Whether it’s Penang or Singapore, both of them have their own good and bad. Nonetheless, I don’t think I’ll return to Penang at least for the next 5 years. Of course, nobody knows the future. Thus, the most important thing is to cherish the ‘present’.
