私の田舎・ペナン

先週の木曜日田舎のペナンに帰りました。

飛行機を着陸前、パイロットそうおっしゃいました：

“ようこそ、ペナンへ。”“そして、ペナンに住んでいるの人へ「お帰り！」”

「お帰り」を聞くと、なんと懐かしかった。

半年ぶりでした、我が愛する田舎。

今回は修士の卒様式を出席するために、ペナンに帰りました。

三日しかペナンにいません、帰る時心はとても苦しかった。

ペナンと言えば、やっぱり地元のグルメ、古い建物と壁画です。

地元のグルメはとても有名です。去年Lonely Planetから「Top Culinary Spot 2014」と言う名をペナンに授与しました。その前もCNN、TIMEと他外国のメディアから相似の賞を受けました。

ペナンの食べ物は激しい味をします。辛い、酸っぱい、甘い、塩辛い、この四つ味を混ぜ合わせるとペナンの食べ物になりました。そう言う特別な味はペナンしか食べませんよ。皆さん、チャンスがあれば必ずペナンに行ってください。^^

I went back to my hometown – Penang on last Thursday.

Right before the plan going to land, the pilot said:

“Welcome to Penang.” “And to those from Penang, Welcome home!”

‘Welcome home’ such warm and dear words. I’m home.

It had been 6 months ever since my last trip back home. The reason I came back this time was to attend my Master’s graduation ceremony. This trip only last 3 days, and it made me sad when it’s time to leave…

When people talk about Penang, it will always be local food, old buildings and mural art.

Especially, the Penang local food, it is quite famous around the world. Last year Penang got awarded ‘Top Culinary Spot 2014’ by Lonely Planet. Not to mention, it got crowned with similar titles from Overseas Medias i.e. CNN and TIME for the past few years too.   

Penang’s food has a strong taste. It consists of spicy, sour, sweet and salty. The taste is so special that, it can only be found in Penang. Therefore, do visit Penang if you guys have the chance~ ^^
