煙の季節

シンガポールやマレーシアも一年中夏ですが、七月と九月の間「煙の季節」になります。

「煙の季節」とは何ですか？

それはインドネシアの森で公開燃焼の煙は風によって、シンガポールやマレーシアまで渡って、そのおかげで空と空気が大変に汚染されました。

９０年代から、毎年の七月と九月の間この状態になります。

空は灰色、空気が燃焼の匂いをしている、天気は蒸し暑い、健康水平も下がる、とても厄介な事です。

何故インドネシアは森で公開燃焼をするのか？

それは伐木作業とパームオイル産業が利益がたくさんですから。

ただ空気の汚染ではなく、森の自然生態も破滅されました。

稀の植物やまた動物もその性で、絶滅の危機にさらされました。

しかし、一番怖いのはこの状態はもう２０年ぐらい繰り返して、何故か政府や環境団体はもっと厳しい方策を採用しませんか？

For Singapore and Malaysia, our weather will be summer throughout the year. However, at the period between July and September, there is actually a season named ‘Haze Season’.

So, what is a ‘Haze’ Season’?

This season is caused by the opening burning haze from the Indonesian Forest. The smoke follows the wind and blow to Singapore and Malaysia. Because of this, the sky and air of these two countries were polluted.

This event started from the 90’s until present.

The sky is gray, smells of burning in the air, the weather is extremely humid and hot, health level decreases, and this is definitely a serious issue.

Why would the Indonesian want to burn their forest?

The main reason is because of the high profit of logging and palm oil industries.

Not only air pollution, forest natural habitat too were destroyed by this activity.

This put the rare flora and fauna species of Indonesian in the endangered position.

However, the scariest part is that after 20 years of repeating incident, why would the government or environment bodies take a serious step towards this issue?
